Welcome to The Modern Nonni!
I’m a proud Gen Xer, a mother, a grandmother (or Nonni, as I love to be called), a business professional, and a college student. My days are full, sometimes wonderfully chaotic, and always an opportunity to learn something new.
I created The Modern Nonni because I believe we never outgrow our dreams. Returning to college in my 50s while working and caring for family has challenged me in ways I never expected. Technology doesn’t always come naturally to me, but I’m learning to embrace it, one click and one lesson at a time.
Family is at the heart of my world. Whether I’m spending precious time with my grandson, gathering loved ones around the table, or finding ways to build a stronger future for the generations coming after me, I’m reminded that success is about more than a title or a diploma. It’s about love, presence, and the legacy we leave.
My faith in God is the foundation beneath it all. His guidance has carried me through seasons of uncertainty and encouraged me to keep moving forward. I don’t have every answer, but I trust that each chapter has a purpose.
Here, I’ll share honest stories about grandmotherhood, family traditions, balancing work and school, growing through change, and finding joy in everyday life. I’ll celebrate the wins, laugh at the mishaps, and talk openly about what I’m still figuring out.
